Equipment List

When considering what kit to bring, its important to remember that although Tenerife is famed for its mild climate and good weather, this reputation is earned from people's experiences on the coast. And whilst Tenerife remains a fair-weather walker's paradise, you have to consider that the mountain areas of the island experience the full range of weather conditions.

These vary with the seasons and with elevation, as such the highest peaks may be snow-capped during winter.

So the following kit-list is split into two, a Winter/ Spring Kit and a Summer/Autumn Kit:

Winter/ Spring (Nov-May)
- 25-30 ltr rucksack
- Hiking Boots
- Synthetic base layers (not cotton)
- Synthetic trousers, (zip-off legs recommended)
- STRICTLY NO JEANS OR DENIM
- A warm fleece or sweater
- Waterproof Jacket and Trousers
- Gloves & hat
- Sun-cream (SPF 25+)
- Orange survival bag

Summer/Autumn (Jun-Oct)
