Please Read Carefully Before Placing any Booking with Tenerife Outdoors

Bookings & Payment

You must be at least 18 years of age to place a booking with us.

In case of group bookings, the person making the booking acts as the principal for other members of the group and agrees to accept the terms and conditions on behalf of the other group members.

Children under 12 are not permitted on our trips and all people under 18 must be accompied by a suitable and responsible adult.

To make a booking you are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the cost of your holiday. The balance must be paid 8 weeks prior to departure, if the booking is placed within 8 weeks of departure then full payment must be made when placing the booking. Once a deposit or full payment has been received, then the contract between us becomes binding. Failure to pay the balance on the due date may result in either your booking being cancelled and your deposit being lost or a surcharge being levied on your booking.

Payments can be made by cheque or bank transfer in Euros or in Pounds Sterling at equivalent rates.

Cancellations:

If you cancel your booking the following cancellation charges will apply:

a) Longer than 56 days before the start of your holiday: 25% (deposit payment only) of the cost of your trip.
b) 56-28 days before the start of your holiday 50% of the cost of your trip.
c) Less than 28 days before the start of your holiday, on the day your holiday starts or during your holiday you must pay the full cost of your trip.

We understand that cancellations sometimes happen as the result of unforseen circumstances, this is why we recommend you take out insurance against irrecoverable cancellation costs.

Changes or Cancellations by us

Before you place your booking we reserve the right to change any of the facilities, services or prices on our brochures or web site. We also reserve the right to cancel your holiday (for example if the minimum number of clients required for a trip is not fulfilled. It is unlikely we will have to make any changes to your holiday, and any changes are usually very minor. Where we have to make a major change, for example a change start or end dates by more than 12 hours) we will endavour to inform you as soon as possible.

If we have to make a major change to your holiday you will be given the choice of either accepting the change or a full refund of any money paid to Tenerife Outdoors for the trip. Likewise if we have to cancel your holiday you will also receive a refund of any money paid to Tenerife Outdoors.

We regret however that we cannot refund any costs incurred by your independent travel arrangements, flights, transfers etc. Therefore we recommend that you wait until we have confirmed the trip has reached the minimum number of clients before making your independent travel arrangements.

Information Provided

The information provided in our brochures and on our web site is to the best of our knowledge accurate and correct, however, we accept no liability for any inaccuracies, omissions or errors that may be contained within.

Adventure Holidays

You accept that adventure holidays by their nature, carry an inherrent degree of risk and that visiting remote mountain areas requires a degree of flexibility. The itineraries described in our brochures and web site are indicative only and Tenerife Outdoors does not guarantee that a particular route will be followed or place reached. You also accept that unforseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions, injury or health problems may cause delays, changes to itinerary, discomfort, inconvenience, and/or require a particular trip to be abandoned.

Customer Responsibility

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate level of fitness and equipment required for the trip. If in the opinion of Tenerife Outdoors, your fiitness or equipement may compromise the safety of either you or other members of the group. We reserver the right to cancel or terminate your holiday (in such cases no refunds will be made). Equally we not tolerate violent or abusive behaviour on our tours, any customers fail to treat others with the appropriate degree of respect and courtesy will be removed from the tour, again no refunds will be offers for clients removed for violent or abusive behaviour.

Accommodation

Accommodation is usually provided on the basis of two people sharing a twin or double room. We request that single travellers share a twin room, however we will not ask you to share with a member of the opposite sex. In exceptional circumstances or in the case of people travelling with under 18's we may ask 3 people to share a suite, making use of folding bed or sofa-bed.

Single occupancy rooms may be requested and we endaevour to fulfil such requests, however due to limited availability of rooms at small hotels, such rooms may not be available or may carry a single person supplement.

Personal Travel Insurance

Before travelling with Tenerife Outdoors, you must have adequate insurance which covers medical costs and personal accident risks. This must be suitable for the activities undertaken and should also cover the costs of air or mountain rescue and repatriation to your country of orgin should you fall ill. Equally we recommend insurance cover protects you from any costs incurred due to the cancellation or curtailment of your trip.

In the event of an emergency medical rescue and/or repatriation from a trip, the costs are the client's, therefore it is essential suitable insurance cover is in place.

Your personal possessions are your own responsibility and we are not liable for any loss, damage to your equipment or kit. Again your insurance policy should provide you with cover against such loss or damage.

Medical & Dietary Conditions

If you suffer from a medical conditon or have any special dietary needs, you MUST communicate this to us at the time of placing your booking. We can cater for vegetarians at no extra charge, however we regret we cannot cater for strict vegans.

Independent Travel & Activities

We are not responsible or liable for your actions or safety during any independent travel or activities you embark on before, after or during your stay.

Complaints
Should you have any cause for concern during your stay please communicate this to your group leader at the earliest opportunitieis. They will attempt to resolve any issues you have. Any outstanding complaint not resolved during the trip should be notified to us in writing within 30 days of the date the trip ends.

Our Liability

We accept responsibility for the negligance of our staff and employees resulting in direct personal injury only to the point required by law. We are not responsible for any mishaps to you or your personal property. Furthermore, we are not responsible for cancellation or curtailment caused by circumstances or individuals outside our control, these include, but are not limited to: extreme weather, Industrial action, natural disasters, injuries, vehicle accidents, war, military action, government, customs or police intervention.

At no time will our liability exceed the cost of your trip with us.
