Day #0 - Arrival
We arrive at the hotel and settle in. Over a freshly prepared dinner, your group leader explains the week ahead and outlines the options available to the group.

Day #1 - Volcan de Garachico (Las Montañas Negras)
We start with a gentle circular walk along farm and forestry tracks taking in the landscape and getting a feel for the days ahead, we are afforded spectacular views of Mount Teide (3,718m) and its neighbour Pico Viejo (3,135m), which in winter will usually sport a dusting of snow. Our trail takes us alongside the lava flows and through the pine forests into the interior of the island. We take in the Volcan de Garachico (1,402m), the site of the 1706 eruption that destroyed the town of the same name. An ascent of the last 50m to the summit of the volcano is optional and access restrictions may apply.

Day #2 - Teno Tour
This circular route passes lakes and farm fields before climbing up and passing around Pico de Gala, which overlooks the Santiago Valley. A short detour allows for an ascent of Pico de la Mesa and spectacular views of the Masca Valley, the return is via an unmarked path through some of the densest parts of the Laurel Forests in the Teno Massif. This is a walk of staggering contrasts that you wouldn't think possible in such a small area.

Day #3 - Masca Gorge
The Masca Gorge is one of the most popular walks in Tenerife. Upon arrival we pause briefly to take in the picturesque village, before descending deep into the Masca Gorge. We follow a river lined with lush vegetation and endemic plants down the valley towards the sea. The steep walls of the gorge tower above us, rising several hundred metres on either side. After around 4 hours we emerge at the beach where we are met by a boat which takes us back along the cliffs to Los Gigantes, this is a great opportunity to see bottle-nosed dolphins and sperm whales.

Day #4 - Departure
After breakfast we check out of the hotel and make our onward travel connections.
